Talitrix to Pursue Immediate Legal Action Against Georgia Values Leadership Fund, Inc. Over False and Misleading Statements

Company says deliberate misinformation campaign ignores jury verdict and misleads the very taxpayers it claims to protect.

ATLANTA, GA — June 4, 2026 — Talitrix, LLC (“Talitrix”) announced today that it will immediately pursue all available legal remedies against Georgia Values Leadership Fund, Inc., and the individuals behind it, for a deliberate campaign of false and misleading statements about the Company.

The campaign’s central claim — that "Talitrix left taxpayers on the hook for $2.1 million" — is flatly false, and it directly contradicts a jury verdict already entered in open court. Talitrix is taking action because these statements are not protected opinion; they are demonstrable falsehoods, repeated after the facts were settled by a jury.

On March 16, 2026, in Talitrix, LLC v. Patrick Labat, in his official capacity as Sheriff of Fulton County, Georgia (Superior Court of Fulton County, Civil Action File No. 24CV006871), a Fulton County jury found that the Sheriff acted in bad faith, was stubbornly litigious, and caused Talitrix unnecessary trouble and expense. The judge ruled that Fulton County was in breach of contract, and the jury awarded Talitrix the full amount of its attorneys' fees and litigation expenses: $1,607,402.

The verdict reflects the jury's determination that Fulton County's conduct — not Talitrix's — resulted in the unnecessary expenditure of taxpayer resources.

"This matter is not a political debate," said Justin Hawkins, Chief Executive Officer of Talitrix. "A Fulton County jury reviewed the evidence, heard the testimony, and reached a clear verdict. Despite those findings, Georgia Values Leadership Fund continues to make statements that are directly contradicted by the public record."

"We respect the right of individuals and organizations to express opinions and engage in public debate. What we will not tolerate is the deliberate misrepresentation of facts that have already been decided in a court of law. Talitrix intends to pursue every available legal remedy against those responsible for creating, funding, directing, or disseminating these false statements."

Talitrix believes that public debate is essential and welcomes scrutiny of public policy decisions. However, the Company believes public discourse must be grounded in facts, particularly when those facts have already been established through the judicial process.

"The taxpayers of Fulton County deserve facts," Hawkins added. "They deserve an honest account of what occurred in this case, including the jury's finding that the County acted in bad faith and caused unnecessary trouble and expense. Attempting to rewrite that outcome for political purposes does a disservice to the public and undermines confidence in the judicial process."

Talitrix's legal action will seek accountability from every individual and organization involved in creating, funding, directing, publishing, promoting, or disseminating false statements regarding the Company and the outcome of the litigation.
